Recruiting is full of question lists. A call kit is what a list becomes when you build it for one school on purpose. Here is the difference, what goes inside one, and how to build yours this week, with or without CALLTIME.
Why a generic script isn't enough
Coaches work through call lists all season, and they hear the same fifteen questions all week. 'What's your team culture like?' is a fine question that could be asked of any coach in the country, which is exactly the problem: it tells the coach nothing about you.
The second question takes maybe ten minutes of research, and it does three jobs at once: it proves you did the work, it signals you're serious about their program specifically, and it gets you an answer you can actually use when it's time to compare schools. Specificity is how a fifteen-minute call gets remembered.
The other problem with a script is simpler. A script you've never said out loud isn't preparation; written answers fall apart under nerves, and reading is not saying. The first time a question leaves your mouth shouldn't be with a coach on the line.
So a real kit has three parts: research on the program, a short script built from that research, and out-loud reps until the script sounds like you. Lose any one of the three and you're back to winging it.
What's inside a call kit

- Debrief. Right after you hang up, log what the coach said and rate each answer: good, vague, or go deeper. Add a 1–10 gut check. Debriefs feed a side-by-side compare, so when it's decision time you're weighing what coaches actually said instead of what you remember feeling.
Kits refresh on demand and show the date the data was pulled, and they print to PDF so the whole family is working from the same page.
How to build one yourself with a notebook
You don't need an app to do this honestly. You need about an hour, one page per school, and somebody willing to play the coach.

One recent result or story you can bring up
Academics: does your major exist there?
Fill it in from the school's athletics site, the roster page, and recent news, and write the date at the top, because rosters change fast and stale facts sound worse than no facts.
Then turn the research into a script. Pick the five questions you most want answered, write them in order with the most important first, and test each one against your page: if a question would still work for any school, sharpen it until it wouldn't.

On the real call, keep the page in front of you and take notes on what the coach says, not on what you planned to say next. Afterward, debrief within the hour: which answers were solid, which were vague, and what you'd ask next time.

How many questions should be in a call kit?
Five, picked for that specific school, is the coached default; seven is the ceiling. Coaches end calls sooner than you expect, and you rarely get through a long list. Order matters more than volume: put the two questions you most need answered first, so even a short call gets you something you can use.
How is a call kit different from a list of questions?
A list of questions is one-third of a call kit. The kit adds the research that makes those questions specific to one program, and the out-loud practice that makes them comfortable to ask under nerves. A list tells you what to say. A kit means you've already said it.
When should I make my first call kit?
